Technical

Behind the scenes of chemicals

Repair, installation and controlling – technical specialists at LANXESS work onsite precisely where specialty chemicals come to life: at the production plants. We need people here who can tackle jobs with skill, care and an understanding of metals and electro technical issues. Operating machines and checking devices responsibly is by no means just "for boys" any more – both girls and boys leaving school are given the opportunity to benefit from in-depth technical training at LANXESS.

Industrial Mechanics

It's obvious: Chemical production plants at LANXESS must always operate perfectly. So it is imperative that any limitations and problems in the manufacturing process are discovered and rectified effectively in good time. This is where we need industrial mechanics: They know all the technical systems inside out and can even find solutions for tricky cases. Their daily business involves setting up production sites, starting operations and converting systems.

Practical tasks

  • Create maintenance and inspection plans
  • Repair, put into operation and install piping systems in production plants
  • Maintain, inspect and repair machines and systems
  • Make components using hand-operated tools or machines
  • Evaluate technical documentation and prepare assembly drawings
  • Define, procure or make replacement parts
